General terms and conditions of sale


The purchaser places the order, the supplier agrees to execute the order, namely "BédéArt".

These terms and conditions of sale are agreed by BédéArt, the head office of which is at Rue Florémond 89 – B-1325 Chaumont-Gistoux, registered with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under number 0652.653.315, hereafter referred to as "the seller" and by any natural or legal person wanting to make a purchase via the seller's website, hereafter referred to as "the purchaser".


These terms and conditions of sale aim to define the contractual relationship between the seller and purchaser and the terms and conditions applicable to any purchase made through the seller's website, whether the purchaser is a professional or consumer.
The acquisition of a good or service through this website implies the unreserved acceptance of these terms and conditions of sale by the purchaser.

These terms and conditions of sale will prevail over any other general or special terms and conditions not expressly agreed by the seller.
The seller reserves the right to modify its terms and conditions of sale at any time. In this case, the terms and conditions applicable shall be those in force on the date of the order by the purchaser.

Purchasing on BédéArt:

By purchasing on BédéArt, you can discover a multitude of artworks in different styles, designed from the drawings by artists related to the 9th Art.

Limited print run:

The print run for the pictures offered on BédéArt is limited.

The artistic pictures are accompanied by an authenticity certificate hand-signed by the artist.

Format and finish:

For each work, BédéArt offers different formats and finishes.

The format indicated (with a margin of error of 5mm) corresponds to the dimensions of the work without a frame.

The gallery images are as faithful as possible but cannot guarantee a perfect similarity with the product offered, in particular with regards the colours.

We are pleased to answer any questions you may have - send your name and telephone number to together with a convenient time for us to call.


By placing an order, you expressly accept the general terms and conditions set out below.

The purchaser who wants to purchase a product on the BédéArt website must:

  • Complete the online order form; BédéArt cannot be held responsible for any input errors made by the customer which would prevent the smooth delivery of the order,
  • Validate the detailed order, after checking it,
  • Make payment under the conditions set out.

Once the order process is completed, you no longer have the option to cancel.

No order will be binding on BédéArt until BédéArt confirms the order by email. (Email)

Order confirmation implies acceptance of these terms and conditions of sale, acknowledgement of having full knowledge of them and waiver of the purchaser's own purchasing or other terms and conditions.

The order confirmation is sent by email and contains the following contractual information:

  • The name of the product ordered,
  • Delivery arrangements,
  • The price, including taxes and the payment method,
  • The supplier's details. 
  • The confirmation is regarded as a signature and acceptance of the transactions.

Right of withdrawal:

The reproduction works, produced based on the purchaser's specifications, are not subject to the right of withdrawal. The website offers different formats and finishes and the works are numbered.

"The supply of goods made to the consumer's specifications or which are clearly personalised":

This exception is contained in the "Market practices and consumer protection" section of the new Belgian code of economic rights (Law of 21 December 2013, applicable since 31 May 2014). It is identical to that set out in the European Directive 2011/83/EU.

Payment and order validation:

The works ordered remain our exclusive property until full payment of the order by the purchaser.

The order will only be validated after payment has been recorded.

An email confirmation will be sent to you to this effect.

Payment through our website is fully secure using the online payment system of our banking partner Mollie. Your banking details are sent securely and BédéArt is never in possession of this data.

There are several payment methods available to you, including bank transfer.

In this case, the time taken to process the order is 2 working days after receipt of your bank transfer.

Delivery times - Contract duration:

Each work is individually produced.

Please allow 15 working days after receipt of payment.

Holiday periods will be indicated and timeframes adapted.

Delivery times are given for information only; if these exceed thirty days from the order date, the sales contract can be terminated and the purchaser reimbursed.

A more accurate timeframe will be sent to you by email.


Who delivers the artwork?

Deliveries are sent to the address given on the purchase order.

Currently, delivery charges are only given for the following countries: Belgium, France, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Netherlands.

We will contact you within 48 hours (working days) of registration of your order in order to make the delivery arrangements.

The name of the transport company, the parcel number and the delivery date will be sent to you.

Is the work insured during transport?

The work is insured during transport and so, there is no risk for you.

The works are transported at the seller's risk until delivered to the delivery address given by the purchaser. From that moment, the purchaser will assume the risks.

Absence on delivery:

If no-one is present at the delivery address between the agreed times, the work can be redelivered. The transport charges will once again be charged to the purchaser. In Belgium, a flat-rate of €80.00 will be demanded in compensation.


The delivery location must be accessible! Large formats cannot be carried in a lift or staircase; other arrangements must therefore be made...; the purchaser is responsible for these costs.

What are the delivery charges?

The purchaser is responsible for the delivery charges, taxes and any customs duties.

The charges are calculated depending on the artwork's size and weight and the delivery country.

These delivery charges will be added to the price of the artwork before your order is confirmed.

For an estimate of your delivery charges, simply place the product(s) in your basket and indicate the country.

Am I protected in the event of a delivery-related problem?

In the event of damage during transport, the justified protest must be filed with the transport company within three days of delivery. 

Any purchaser can notify BédéArt by sending a complaint about the works ordered by email to within 3 days of receipt of any work, in accordance with the following criteria:

Non-compliant product: the product received does not match the product ordered.

Damaged product: the product received is damaged or broken.

Depending on the case, the dispute will result in the replacement of the work.

In the event that the work needs to be returned by the purchaser, the seller will instruct the purchaser on the procedure to be followed. 

Can I obtain an invoice for my order?

For every order, an invoice is produced by BédéArt containing the price of the work ex. VAT and incl. VAT and is sent by email.

You are asked for all the invoicing details during the order process.


The seller reserves the right to change its prices at any time. The prices applicable to the order are those in force at the time this order is confirmed.

The prices appearing on the website are in euros and include VAT at 21%. The prices given do not include transport and delivery charges. 

The price of an artwork is set by BédéArt using several criteria. Firstly, it depends on its manufacturing process (printing type and support, finish, etc.), then its size and the reputation and popularity of the artist when purchasing.


With regard to consumers, the seller guarantees the works it sells in accordance with the Law of 1 September 2004 on consumer protection for the sale of consumer goods (Articles 1649 bis to 1649 octies of the Civil Code).

In the event of the non-conformity of a sold product observed within 2 months of the delivery of the goods, the consumer must notify the seller as soon as possible by registered letter or email.
Defects or damage due to misuse, such as water damage, oxidation, a drop or impact, use of corrosive cleaners, negligence or wear and tear, are not covered by the warranty.

The invoice or delivery note acts as a guarantee and must be retained by the consumer and the original produced on request.


In the online sales process, the seller is only bound by an obligation of means; the seller's liability cannot be engaged for any damage resulting from the use of the internet such as data loss, intrusion, virus, service failure or other unintentional problems.

The data on the website is provided in good faith. Links to partner sites are given for information only. The seller cannot be held liable for information from these sites.

Personal data:

Any personal data needed to process an order is stored by the seller or its employees and may be sent to companies with which the seller - or its suppliers - work, when such communication is required to process the order.

The seller stores personal data to facilitate subsequent orders. The seller otherwise agrees not to disclose the information that it has to another company or business.

The data stored by the seller may be corrected by the purchaser at any time through their account.


The parties accept, in the context of their relationship, electronic evidence (for example, email, computer backups, etc.).

Intellectual property:

All the elements of the Bédé website are protected by copyright and by the principles of intellectual property law. They cannot be copied, modified, placed on another website or published in any format whatsoever, without the prior written consent of BédéArt.


All disputes arising from the interpretation or application of this agreement which cannot be settled amicably shall fall under the jurisdiction of the law courts of Nivelles.
